Why did you choose to work at Grape Solutions?
Previously I worked as an external headhunter for Grape Solutions. We had several triumphs together because, both professionally and socially, we were then and are now a very marketable and attractive company. Why did I join the Grape team? Because I knew that I could develop professionally and personally, I have always been very interested in the world of IT, which I can now see at close quarters every day.

How does your role look at Grape, and how would you describe it in one sentence?
I currently work as an HR Director at Grape. I am primarily responsible for developing HR strategy, ensuring employee wellbeing, recruitment and selection, the operation of our training, performance appraisal and satisfaction measurement systems, and running our HR Services Premium recruitment business.

What skills do you think are needed for your position?
Open, assertive communication is essential for team leadership. I believe that an organisation can only be successful if the professional skills of each member are maximised and exploited. In the "old school", a team leader had to be more senior than any team member in all work areas. I don't think so; I know that my teammates have a distinctly better grasp of specific areas, so I rely heavily on their expertise and opinions, and it pays off big time. On the one hand, there is a much deeper trust between manager and employee, and on the other hand, the employee feels much more appreciated. A good leader must lead, not instruct.

How can you motivate and develop yourself at Grape?
For me, every day goes by very quickly. Every day I face new challenges, which in itself is motivating. In addition to external training, I have plenty of opportunities to develop personally and professionally by working with my excellent colleagues.

What are the three things that made you proud during your time at Grape?
On the one hand, the feedback over the last 2 years has shown a significant improvement in overall employee satisfaction, I believe HR has contributed a lot to this. I am very proud that we won the HR Special Award in the HR category of the 2020 HR Special Award for Workplaces to Love. Last but not least, I would like to highlight the creation of the HR Services Business Unit, which is now operational with 6 professional partners.

Why would you advise others to join us?
If you're looking for professional development, team cohesion and exciting projects, we're the place for you!
