Life at Grape Solutions: an interview with our Office manager and HR assistant, Réka Fülöp

Réka is not just our Office manager but a member of our HR team. We asked her to tell us more about her positions, how her daily life at Grape looks.

Why did you choose to work at Grape Solutions?
Grape Solutions Plc. was very sympathetic to me during the interview process. I was immediately attracted by the sophistication of the office, the energetic, youthful team and the friendly but professional reception. The company's field of activity, software development, is a constantly evolving business, so I found it interesting to get an insight into the world of custom software development. Since then, I have become increasingly interested in the processes involved in this business, and I feel I have found my place.

How does your role look at Grape, and how would you describe it in one sentence?
I'm an office manager and HR assistant at Grape. My daily job is to make sure that our office is a comfortable working environment for everyone. My HR duties include organizing and running events and liaising with headhunters and candidates.

What skills do you think are needed for your position?
In my position, it is essential that I can communicate with people fluently and well; I think I can find common ground with everyone easily. Precision, multitasking, kindness, prioritizing well, speed, helpfulness, teamwork and brainstorming are essential.

How can you motivate and develop yourself at Grape?
In the two years, I've been working here, I think I've grown a lot, my scope of work has expanded, and I've been given the space to get involved in things that interest me and make my job more various. I'm motivated by the fact that in the HR team, we complement each other's comments and ideas, which makes the workflow together in a dynamic way.

What are the three things that made you proud during your time at Grape?
I am proud to have more and more insight into HR processes in my professional development. I am pleased to work every day in a way that brings me joy. I'm proud of the events we organize together, where employees always have a good time, and the positive feedback we receive always give me a sense of accomplishment.

Why would you advise others to join us?
Here, we make sure that everyone feels comfortable, we provide the right and comfortable working environment. After working hours, we offer recreational activities such as darts, foosball, ping pong, or you can choose from our collection of board games. During the day, you can also take a break from work: we provide fresh fruit every day and regularly organize small events such as pancake day, ice cream day or French toast day. We think it's essential to have a good community outside of work so that everyone can find something to do.
