Life at Grape Solutions: an interview with our Marketing Specialist, Dorina Páll

Dorina works as our Marketing Specialist focusing on Business-to-Business (B2B) activities to promote Grape Solutions products and services in the Tech market . We asked her to tell us what a B2B marketer does on a daily basis.

Why did you choose to work at Grape Solutions?
I wished to work in a place where I would feel like I don't only work from 9 to 5, but I can develop professionally. I can grow in an environment where we motivate and support each other and work together to move forward, for example, on a project. Before Grape Solutions, I worked mainly in the start-up sector, so the TOP 5 aspects were the work community and professional development. During the job interviews, I already felt that Grape would be like that and I joined the Sales team in 2021.

How does your role look at Grape, and how would you describe it in one sentence?
I work as a B2B Marketer; my primary role is to communicate products, services and the company itself. It means supporting the sales process through various marketing tools such as PR appearances, organising events, writing professional content, managing advertising and managing integrated marketing campaigns. The list is endless, limited only by your imagination, which is why I love working as a marketer!

What skills do you think are needed for your position?
Creativity, which many people underestimate, is the driving force behind marketing activities. Creativity is entirely cross-cutting, you have to be creative when you're putting together a marketing campaign, or when you create visual content with graphic designers.

Be open to innovation. It is necessary to innovate, both to be able to offer something new to your partners and not to lose motivation in your work. You need challenges and obstacles that will only come your way if you dare to step out of your comfort zone.

Technologically oriented, we work in the tech sphere! I think you have to love the segment you work in, you can only fulfill yourself if you love what you do.

Expressiveness, you can communicate well if you can express yourself. Everyone has their own style of writing PR releases or social media posts, producing background material for the sales team; you need to find that style that is both informative and clear to others. Expressiveness is also essential when communicating within the team.

How can you motivate and develop yourself at Grape?
I always try to look for new challenges and not always use the same tools I have previously utilised during my work. In addition to marketing, I also like to work on graphic design, and luckily Grape management supports me in this through various training courses. I would like to get more out of marketing, and I like to spend my free time learning and reading about the relevant B2B marketing topics. It is also essential for me to work in a foreign language that relies entirely on English. I would like to compliment this with German in 2022.

What are the three things that made you proud during your time at Grape?
I think I have already improved a lot during my probationary period, and I have managed to deepen my marketing knowledge with various tasks. Of course, learning is never over; there is always room for improvement. I'm proud that we constantly innovate and create exciting campaigns with the sales team. I have learnt a lot about patience and working in a balanced way.
