Why did you choose to work at Grape Solutions?
I came across the job offer for a systems administrator at Grape when I started my studies for an OKJ in system administration. Seizing the opportunity, I quickly contacted Szandi, who arranged an interview two days later. During the conversation, I was attracted by the chance to meet an open-minded company where I could practice what I was learning and improve continuously, thanks to the introduction of new technologies. It's been more than five years now; since then, I've been through several office moves, projects, troubleshooting, and all of them have added more to my routine and my development.

How does your role look at Grape, and how would you describe it in one sentence?
A better question is, what not? As a system administrator, I have to deal with a wide range of tasks, from printing troubleshooting to making our system efficient, well-functioning and secure. It's as important to me to ensure that my colleagues work smoothly as to be acquainted with the operation of on-premise and cloud systems.

What skills do you think are needed for your position?
It's essential to be up to date on the technical side, but it's just as important to have the patience to understand your colleagues. It's not enough to have expertise; you need to decode it into a format that allows you to work effectively. It is crucial to have harmony between the comfort of users and the expectations of operators.

How can you motivate and develop yourself at Grape?
An administrator's job is often invisible to others; as long as you do everything right, they don't even notice you're working, but once you make a mistake! I receive a huge motivation from colleagues' gratitude when I can quickly provide help and solutions to their problems. Besides that, it is also the best feeling when you manage to put the coherence of an extensive system that is convenient and transparent to use, even if no one else can see it.

What are the three things that made you proud during your time at Grape?
I could list professional fulfilments I have achieved in my career within Grape, but I think what we do as people is more important. I'm proud of the team that is building around us, we help each other professionally and as a human. I'm proud of the company for not only making it important to have fun within the company, but also to help those who need it most with support and donations. Finally, I'm proud of the company for seeing each other as employees alongside productivity and as friends and making it necessary to reinforce that with recurring and varied events.

Why would you advise others to join us?
If you don't wish to work in a multinational environment where work is often monotonous, then Grape is where you need to be, where your work and opinion matter. It's very easy to develop in a team where you know who's who and you're in constant contact with each other, not just because the job requires it. This is your world if you want to grow while doing more than just your job!
