Zsófi has several responsibilities within the HR team, such as event organisation, employer branding and recruiting new Grape team members. We asked her to tell us more about her position at Grape Solutions.
Why did you choose to work at Grape Solutions?
I've always been interested in the HR field; for some reason, I've been very attracted to it for years. When I saw Grape's advertisement, I liked that I could participate in the selection process even if I didn't have a background in HR, but I had the right skills, something I hadn't experienced anywhere else. I liked the office, the atmosphere, and the family atmosphere is not just theoretical.
How does your role look at Grape, and how would you describe it in one sentence?
I work as an HR administrator and headhunter at Grape. As an HR Administrator, I am responsible for our company events, our employer branding activities, and as a headhunter, I am responsible for finding the best people for each position. Together with the HR team, we are responsible for ensuring our colleagues feel comfortable in the company and that their integration is smooth.
What skills do you think are needed for your position?
As an HR administrator, it is essential to be proactive, open and have good communication skills, as you need to communicate with people (both employers and prospective candidates) daily. As our work is multifaceted, it is vital to have good time management and multitasking skills. Creativity is essential for event management and employer branding, as we like to come up with new events to make the company life more colorful.
How can you motivate and develop yourself at Grape?
When I joined the Grape team three years ago, I had no HR experience. During my time here, I feel I have grown a lot, I have become more open and creative. The scope of my responsibilities was constantly expanding, so there was always an area that gave me new motivation to develop. As an HR administrator, we've been running more and more successful events, and our employer branding activities are constantly evolving, so there's always something to learn. And as a headhunter, I am motivated by the continuous placements, now not only for ourselves but also for our partner companies.
What are the three things that made you proud during your time at Grape?
I'm proud that we won the HR Special Award in the 2020 Workplaces to Love competition and that our employees visibly enjoy our events. We can always attract a different crowd. Everyone finds something they like to do. I'm proud that our sense of family is not just on paper, but we experience it daily, we are a truly close-knit community.
Why would you advise others to join us?
We see you as a human being, not just a member of a machine. You'll spend your days in a super office environment (always fresh fruit, delicious coffee, foosball, darts, pool, air hockey, ping-pong), but of course, we don't rule out the home office. You can choose from several activities a month (ice-cream day, pancake day, French toast breakfast, running races, photo contest, theatre visits), but if you have an idea, we'll be happy to implement it. The atmosphere is very friendly and family-like. If you want to work in a place like this, we're the place for you! :)
